Spear-Nosed Bats

I think the spear-nosed bat is a micro bat because it has big ears and small eyes. They are about five inches in length and weigh from .5-2 ounces. Their wingspan can be up to 1 meter.

They eat small vertebrates, nectar, pollen, insects, scorpions, fruit, spiders, but mainly insects. To find food they use echolocation and their sense of smell.

They live in Central America, South America, and Brazil. They live in warm places, so I don’t think they hibernate or migrate.

As I researched my bat, I learned some interesting facts. Some spear-nosed bat species don’t have a spear shaped nose. They use their lips to direct sound. They help balance the rainforest food web by eating many insects.

Happy New Year!

My new year resolution is to get better grades in school. I can be a better listener.

Scratch

I like scratch because you can make the characters do what you want them to do.You can make them change color, character, and size. They can stamp too!It was fun to explore scratch. They can say stuff and move.I learned how to change the back ground and make a acrostic poem.

Here is a holiday picture I drew.
